Welcome to Legatry, a family legacy management platform designed to help families preserve, organize, and transfer their complete legacy across generations. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Legatry platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using Legatry, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Account Terms

Account Creation

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account

Member Management

Owners have full administrative rights over their account
Admins can manage members and documents as permitted by the owner
Members can access and contribute content based on their assigned role
You may only belong to one account at a time

Legacy Plan subscriptions are billed monthly
You may cancel your subscription at any time
Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period

4. HeritageAI™ Service

HeritageAI™ is our AI-powered document analysis service that provides plain language translations and insights for complex legal, financial, and business documents.

HeritageAI™ analysis is for informational purposes only
Results do not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice
Analysis accuracy may vary based on document quality and complexity
Daily usage limits apply based on your subscription plan
We reserve the right to refuse analysis of inappropriate content

5. Your Content and Data

Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Legatry
You grant us a license to process, store, and analyze your content to provide our services
You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to upload and share content
You must not upload content that violates laws or third-party rights

Data Security and Storage

🔒 Azure Blob Storage — Files Are Never Stored on the Platform

Documents, photos, and stories uploaded to Legatry are not stored on the Legatry application or its servers. All files are stored exclusively in Microsoft Azure Blob Storage — an enterprise-grade, geo-redundant cloud storage service operated by Microsoft.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we will permanently delete your data within 30 days, except as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
Upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful code
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
Share your account credentials with others
Use automated tools to access the Service without permission
Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
Use the Service to store or share illegal or inappropriate content
Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain reliable access to our Service. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may need to suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or security purposes. We will provide advance notice when possible.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEGATRY AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR LOST PROFITS.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful activities.

Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease, and we will delete your data according to our data retention policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service or applicable laws. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
